Clothes Closet

OPEN POSITION

Program Info

The Clothes Closet is a free store managed by LISD Council of PTAs and staffed entirely by LISD PTA volunteers. The portable building is located between Leander Middle School and the LEO Center on South West Drive in Leander and is open from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon every Tuesday and 10:30 am to 12:00 noon the first Saturday of each month.

The Clothes Closet is a shop for families who have children attending public school in the LISD and are in need of a little help providing clothing for their children. Families do not have to pre-qualify or fill out any paperwork before visiting; they may visit the Clothes Closet and get what they need for their children. This may include socks, underwear, a jacket, an outfit, or even a nice suit or dress for a concert or special event.

Currently the Clothes Closet is in need of all sizes of gently used clothing to fit students in grades kindergarten through high school. New underwear, boxers, and socks, all in unopened packaging, are always in demand. In addition to the clothes that are so desperately needed, donations of plastic and pant hangers would be greatly appreciated!
