Program Info

Provide students hands-on learning activities that encourage a better understanding of how we are all part of a larger environment and that preserving the beauty and integrity of nature will make all of our lives richer. Our classroom provides real-world opportunities for students to engage in experimental, project-based learning activities. Students will be introduced to a variety of inquiry based activities through gardening experiences and exposure to an exciting learning environment.  We will do this by creating, maintaining, and studying the ecosystem, students will increase their understanding of and respect for the environment and environmental issues that will confront them in their current and future world.  They will understand that they can each make a difference in so many ways to helping our environment survive and thrive!

Job Description: Outdoor Classroom Chair

• Work with teachers to develop Outdoor Classroom plan.
• Must work with principal, volunteers and president.
• Job is ongoing throughout the year and done mostly at school, times and hours are flexible.
• Job reports to the VP Family Programs
